The Floating G.O.A.T., originally named Arno II, has a fascinating history. Built in 1959 to serve the Flensborg Fjord “spritrute” (booze route), its design reflects its original purpose, with unique, low-set windows in the lounge offering a distinctive view of the water. Over the years, it’s served as a houseboat, a design studio, and now, a fully modernized venue, retaining its maritime character while offering all the conveniences of a contemporary space.

The Floating G.O.A.T. is brought to life by Kate Mark Balslev and Andreas Mark, a Copenhagen couple with a shared passion for the water and community. Their journey began on their wedding day, when a “For Sale” sign on a historic ferry sparked a shared dream.
Kate, with a background in learning and development, brings creativity and a focus on engaging experiences. Andreas, with his business expertise, provides the strategic vision.
Together, they transformed the Floating G.O.A.T. into a vibrant hub for connection and celebration in Islands Brygge. They’re active members of the local community and excited to welcome you aboard!
